“Wat een geweldige kamer. Gezin van 4, kingsize bed en voor de pubers uitklapbare stapelbedden, met een gordijn ervoor, dus toch nog een beetje privacy.
De bedden waren goed, lekker stevig matras. Ook een goed gordijn.
Het was voor 1 nachtje op doorreis, dus dit was perfect.
We checkten laat in. Na 2300 en dan is er niemand bij de receptie. Er is een telefoonnummer in het halletje, dat bek je. Een medewerker geeft je een code, als je die intoetst komt je keycard vrij. Werkt geweldig.”

L’albergo è una struttura moderna e confortevole sul molo a 20 minuti dalla stazione ferroviaria/bus, dotato di bar e con affianco pizzeria Italiana. “Siamo arrivati e nonostante avessimo prenotato una camera familiare (siamo in 4) ci hanno dato le chiavi di una matrimoniale. tornati indietro alla reception (il personale è stato molto gentile) abbiamo segnalato il disguido e ci hanno fornito un'altra stanza di nuovo matrimoniale. Infine ci hanno nuovamente assegnato una nuova stanza con due brandine per i bimbi. A noi andava bene comunque ma mi sembra strano che pur avendo la nostra prenotazione da tempo non avessero predisposto una camera con...

"I must admit I have mixed feelings towards the Atlantic Hotel.
The location is great, in front of the Dokk1, close to the channel (very lively at night), just 3 mins away from the bus station and 5 from the train station.
The room was very large and overall comfortable, with a large TV (but you need to include the sleep function: the proper key is in the remote controller, but it does no work), but with some strange flows. No fridge at all, nor - and it is far more weird - no phone in the room: to contact the hotel you have to call with your phone, or to go downstairs. Rather odd, indeed.
Even more weird: the cleaning of the room is optional, and you have to opt-in, the night before, till 11 PM. I understand the environmental ground behind this choice, but it's nevertheless very strange. An opt-out solution might perhas work better, without giving the impression that this is a way to save money with the cleaning at the expenses of an absent-minded guest (I was not alerted of that as of the check-in). Furthermore, the room is pretty dark: more light might be good, and a general switcher next to the bed even more (I had to switch off each device separately).
The breakfast is simply great, very rich and high quality, with a wonderful view from the 10th floor. Well done; the table reservation system for the weekend worked very well.
I would be please to visit Hotel Atlantic again in the future; if they take care of these flaws, it would be an even greater pleasure."
